Dr. Hank D. Michael DMD

Dr. Hank Michael was born and raised in beautiful Sarasota, FL. He didn’t always want to be a dentist but somewhere along the line, he fell in love with dentistry! He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from USF “Go Bulls!” and then his doctorate of dental medicine from UF in 2001 “Go Gators!” In addition to being a member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Michael also holds a Florida IV Sedation Permit and has two dental implant fellowships - the ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists) and MIII (Misch International Implant Institute).

He is very active in continuing his education and believes that educating himself and the patient, lead to predictable, successful dentistry. Dr. Michael is married to Ena Michael, his office manager, and they have four beautiful children: Daniel, Annakeh, Ory and Ryalin.

Dr. Nicole Swanson DMD

Dr. Nicole C. Swanson grew up in this beautiful, beach town of Sarasota, FL, setting her sights on becoming a dentist at the early age of seven years old. Starting early, She pushed herself through college classes at Venice High School with advanced placement, earning a distinguished seat in the University of Florida’s undergraduate class of 2015, as well as the University of Florida’s College of Dentistry Class of 2019. Continuing her love for the Florida Gators, she was accepted into the University of Florida’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency, where she spent one year furthering her surgical, restorative, and cosmetic training in the field of dentistry.

Sarasota Dentistry is proud to welcome Dr. Swanson, a triple Gator, to the team. Her passion for dentistry and high quality patient care make her the perfect fit. In situations where you feel you need to come in for an emergency appointment, call Sarasota Dentistry at 941-929-7645. Our team can answer all of your questions at that time. You can come to the office during normal operating hours for emergency help as well. We would recommend calling our office as a first step. If you and Dr. Michael agree that the incident is a true dental emergency, we will do our best to accommodate you and get you the care you need. Keep in mind that we cannot handle breathing and swelling problems – for those, please visit your local emergency room or call 911.

Does Sarasota Dentistry accept insurance?
We do not take insurance for payment. However, many of our patients have insurance and claims are filed electronically for the patient to get reimbursed directly. We have not gotten any complaints since 2001. In the rare case a claim is denied, we fight for your benefits and in the end, the patient gets reimbursed. We are committed to quality care and personal service and have determined this allows us to maintain this standard since it's inception in 2001.
