Sinus Augmentation Bone Grafting for Dental Implants #14

Here you see a patient with missing upper molars and about 2-3 mm of bone. Patient was unhappy with his ability to chew and asked for options other than a partial denture. A 3D image was taken and we discussed Sinus Grafting to grow enough bone to place dental implants in the future. He was excited at the possibility and scheduled to begin immediately. In some cases, the dental implants can be placed at the same time as the sinus graft but in this case, there was not enough bone initially, so a second procedure was required to place the dental implants. All procedures were performed with sedation. Patient is happily chewing with permanent teeth. If you, or someone you know, is missing teeth and has been told they don’t have enough bone for dental implants, give Dr. Hank Michael at Sarasota Dentistry a call.
